Did you mean Zundar rather than Maedus in the last para (throughout)? That would make sense. I don't suppose we could redirect the gate at Maedus in some way (by changing another gate)... could we predict the changes and would they help us?

As long as it doesn't exceed 21 days (for LC) and is (and this is important) directly related to your primary role. We FTRS can't be pinged for random detachments regardless of the length, they have to relate to the role we are employed in.
